We pride ourselves on the ability to integrate Smart Track, our Vendor Management System (VMS), with any other system, large or small, and haven’t met a technology yet that we weren’t able to work with.
Once Smart Track is your vendor of choice, we initially communicate with you to identify all stakeholders as well as the IT resources for integration requirements. This helps us decide what the configuration expectations are as well as establish the timeline and milestone checkpoints for the implementation and integration of Smart Track system into the existing infrastructures.
It may help to have a little background on Smart Track first. It’s a role-based system that uses a bi-directional exchange of data, which is an important factor to the entire ecosystem of users. Smart Track’s architecture allows for different options for connection, transport and format with inbound and outbound data flows.
What that means in layman’s terms is that because of how Smart Track is designed, virtually all aspects of it are configurable including workflow management, business rules, approvals, the supplier scorecard, invoices and dashboards to create a smooth user experience with seamless integrations as we fine tune it to work harmoniously and in conjunction with all other technology. Since we can configure changes on our end, we don’t require changing or installing anything at the end points or source code, which can cause delays and unseen issues.
Smart Track offers an Integration Toolkit that allows our clients to quickly and easily configure integrations from the front end as well as oversee the scheduling, monitoring and tracking of those integrations.

Here are some functionalities and DCR differentiators:
No work-arounds – You know that work-arounds are as effective as fitting a square peg into a round hole! They provide little or no performance before they completely collapse, leaving you to clean up the mess. When you have a sleek, modern technology such as a VMS and try to extract data by integrating it into a legacy system, you need them to work together in the background. What you don’t need are complex connections or flimsy middleware designed to establish a connection. At DCR, we provide a seamless integration, with focus on the schedule and frequency at which the data in integrated, ensuring the data content as well as fine-tuning it’s validation before the integration.
Seamless data transfer – Information is transferred back-and-forth on an ongoing basis, as our team understands the file formats and has assets already set up and streamlined to offer a “plug-and-play” experience in syncing up and integrating the systems with each other. To illustrate this functionality:
Login credentials – Smart Track is integrated with your systems so that it doesn’t require separate login credentials, and accepts a single sign-on with the your company’s credentials. This keeps your approved user list up-to-date and in case of a termination it will automatically exclude that employee’s access.
Charges only valid open projects – Smart Track’s integration is so flexible that it enables you to sync with anything out there using Secure File Transfer Protocols (SFTP) and APIs to sync data in real time. Since the system does the work for you, it eliminates the pain of manually reconciling timesheets with charge numbers. Smart Track will only charge a timesheet to the relevant and validated open project in real time, even if your charge numbers are constantly changing.
Integration of email calendars – Smart Track’s integration capabilities extend to even your email calendars so you can access them on the go and stay on top of all your deadlines.
Smart Track is designed to work flexibly and integrate with many other applications in a seamless manner. As such, there are no restrictions on which systems it can integrate with, nor is there a limit on the number of integrations it can support. At last count, these applications topped more than 50, and includes all industry-leading applications in eProcurement, ERP, HCM, HRIS, timekeeping such as KRONOS as well as procurement applications such as SAP, ARIBA and more.
