Cleveland Cavs, Cakes and KeyBank – Celebrating the Championship in Style

Congratulations, Cavs – 2016 NBA Champions! Woot, woot!

The city of Cleveland is celebrating an amazing win – coming from a 3-1 deficit and bringing home the trophy after defeating the Golden State Warriors in the finals. The Game 7 win was a landmark in NBA history that no team has ever pulled off until now. And without the home court advantage, no less.

Talk about bringing your “A” game!

Lessons learned from making history and shocking the sports world

What can we learn from LeBron James’ and fellow players’ leap from behind?

  • Anything is possible when you work as a team and set your mind to it.
  • There’s no need to be on your own turf to get the gold.
  • You can come from behind and shock the world – be it sports or business.
  • Something that was meant to taunt you can be turned around.
  • With all the right plays, you can flourish.
  • You can suffer struggles but still have a last-minute breakthrough.

Helping our fellow Cavs fans celebrate in style

We’re so excited that the Cavs won the championship!

We like to celebrate in style, so for those who couldn’t make it to the parade and rally, we had special cakes made with the team colors of wine and gold plus the team logo, and delivered them to KeyBank – a partner of both the Cleveland Cavaliers and DCR – on the day of the official celebration.
