That’s right: FUN-raise. It’s fundraising with a silly twist. As part of Red Nose Day USA*, DCR joined in the festivities to FUN-raise for a great cause as we laughed, donated and helped kids worldwide be safe, healthy and educated.
We bought Red Noses at Walgreen’s, but we didn’t stop there! Around the office, we also supported the cause through Red Nose-themed beads and baubles, adorable antennae, sassy sunglasses, bright bracelets and pretty pens.
Being a creative bunch, we also added our own “flair” with ruby red clothing, sassy sneakers (with lights) and wonderful wings!
To help raise awareness, we took a walk in our community with our Red Noses, flair, balloons and signs. Drivers were honking and waving to support our endeavor.
Inside, we set up a donation table with signs, balloons and a festive display with a cheery, red box for cash donations. If you missed out on the FUN-raising festivities but still want to make a donation, you can go here.

We had so much fun that our teammates are already talking about ideas for what they want to do on Red Nose Day next year!
Comic Relief Inc. developed Red Nose Day as a way to involve celebrities, comedy and mass media to raise awareness and funds to fight poverty around the world. The live TV special which aired on May 26 was the perfect way to bring it all together and to end the night.
Red Nose Day helps kids in poverty around the world through several charities that assist with basic needs, literacy skills and medical services. The best part about Red Nose Day is it helps kids in the US and abroad. Half of the money raised supports kids in America and the other half supports kids in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
