Smart Track Update Offers Simplified Navigation and Login Experience

Back in the 90’s there was nothing more satisfying than booting up your computer, connecting to “the net” and hearing those now infamous words: “You’ve got mail.” We’ve come a long way since then.

Today, we’re streamlining the workday well beyond email, connecting colleagues through social networking and organizing work-related tasks with software that enables efficiency and efficacy. And although our technology has become more and more sophisticated, our experience should remain as simple as the days of yore.

That’s why we’ve launched a refreshed login experience for Smart Track.

Here’s what’s new:

Welcome page

We know not everyone is ready to have their minds blown by real-time, bleeding-edge data the minute they login, possibly even before they’ve enjoyed their first cup of coffee. So instead of having users land on their dashboard page, we’ve launched a welcome page that allows the user to navigate to the most often used, roles- and rights-based tasks via shortcuts.

The hiring manager will now see shortcuts to:

  • My workspace open requisitions
  • Timesheets that need approval
  • Contingent worker search module with new functionality to enable multiple selections in the labor type category
  • Onboarding progress page

The supplier will now see shortcuts to:

Supplier

  • My workspace open requisitions
  • Timesheets for approval
  • Contingent worker search module with new functionality to enable multiple selections in the labor type category
  • Onboarding progress page
  • Resume bank where new talent can be added and the existing talent pool can be searched

The MSP will now see shortcuts to:

MSP

  • Create requirement, which navigates to ETK
  • My workspace to requisitions workspace
  • Timesheets awaiting approval
  • Contingent Worker search module
  • Onboarding workspace

The contingent worker will now see shortcuts to:

Contingent Worker

  • Create timesheet
  • Create expense
  • Timesheet workspace
  • Current expense detail

We’ve also added top navigation icons that are easy to identify and will help you get where you need to go quickly – even before the jolt of caffeine has had time to wake your tired eyes.

When you click on the Smart Track logo, it will take you back to the welcome page. Other icons include:

  • A link to your dashboard, which now has a cleaner more streamlined look while maintaining all the previous functionality
  • Your calendar, color-coded
  • Your personal to-do list, based on user type, with count of actions
  • An icon with a drop-down for more options that include the full screen viewer button, release notes and system alerts
  • If you’re a proxy user, or someone who can take actions on behalf of others, you’ll also see an icon with a drop-down list of the users for whom you can proxy and your available rights (full or partial)

Enhanced efficiency

When searching for talent in the contingent worker search module, data is now loaded only after specific criteria is selected. This cuts down dramatically on load times. Additionally, any time there is a grid of information, the user can sort, filter each column and save as an export directly within the grid to be able to manipulate the data in Excel.
